Dundalk FM would like to invite you to a very special event on Thursday 13th February – World Radio Day – Social Benefit in Community Radio Conference in the Tallon Suite, Gateway Hotel, Dundalk.
- Community Programming representatives will explain how their self produced shows help them to achieve their goals.
- Indian and Ukrainian representatives will talk about the media courses they have undertaken and how the station attends their events to do live Outside Broadcasting.
- Minority and marginalised voices will discuss how they have found a home at Dundalk FM.
- Local sports, arts and music presenters will talk about the vocational training and skills that they learn by being a member of the station.
- Followed by Round Table discussion for groups to outline their plans for 2025 and highlight forthcoming events that we can add to our schedule and publicise.
- You can reserve a maximum of three seats for your group/organisation.We have space to put up your banners and pop up stands around the edge of the room and we can call to collect them from you and drop them back after the conference, if you wish. Otherwise, you are welcome to bring them on the day.
The conference will bring together presenters and contributors to hear how being a member of the station has enhanced their lives, community development and educational work. We are able to bring this event to you as it is funded as part of a Sound and Vision Social Benefit Project funded by Coimisiún na Meán with the Television Licence Fee.
We would be delighted to have you/your group represented at the conference.
Please let me know if you will be able to attend morning/afternoon or both.
Kind regards
Alan Byrne
