Concerns over the future of jobs at The Authentic Food Company in Dundalk have heightened after production failed to start as normal this morning.

Food production for those arriving on the early shift was due to start at 5am but failed to do so. As of 8am workers have been left sitting in the canteen of the factory on at the Finnabair Industrial Estate without an explanation as to what is happening.

Speculation has been rife that the Manchester based firm could be set to close the local operation for some time.

Would you like to join a team of 20 new radio presenters on a 4-day course starting Thursday October 25th?

There is a choice of weekly morning or afternoon sessions. Participants will be expected to take an active part in community radio broadcasting as reporters on completion of the course.

There are 10 places for migrants and 10 for local people and this project is supported by the Communities Integration Fund.
